London department store
Selfridges is offering
'iPod survival courses' for baffled consumers struggling to get to grips with
their media players.
For £65 (£4 less than
Apple's
iPod Shuffle) buyers can get a 40-minute lesson on how to
use their iPods to store and play music collections. More expensive lessons are
also available if users require a home visit.
The lessons have puzzled some, however, since the
Apple
store on Regent Street, about 100m from Selfridges' London branch, already
offers free courses in iPod use. Details can be found
here.
Apple's store charges for a service called SpeedPod which copies CDs onto the
device at £2.50 per album while you wait.
