Most new PCs come with everything you need to make them the hub of your home entertainment setup but whether you're watching DVD movies or listening to MP3s, you won't have much fun with a cheap set of speakers.
The Z-5300s are near the top of Logitech's range and being a 5.1 system, work best with DVD movies. However, most games produce surround sound now and most music sounds better coming out of five speakers.
The satellites are about the size of a pint of milk and have integrated stands that can also be used as wall mounts. The sub-woofer is huge and heavy and finding somewhere to put this slab of metal and MDF won't be easy. Thankfully, it doesn't need to be placed within easy reach since a wired remote control adjusts every aspect of the audio.
So, how do they sound? Pretty fine, as it turns out. There's plenty of power to upset the neighbours but the Z-5300s sound good even at low volumes.
We're not sure that the sound quality fully justifies the £200 price tag but there's no denying that this is a serious set of speakers.
