Adobe
has released new editions of Premier Elements and Photoshop Elements, the
consumer versions of its professional video- and photo-editing products.
Premier Elements 7, which now supports the AVCHD format, analyses each of
your video clips for quality, number of faces and sound, and applies Smart Tags
to help you find the best ones quickly.
An Instantmovie feature allows you to create a movie by dragging and dropping
a theme such as 'birthday' onto series of video clips. It adds suitable music,
titles and transitions.
The new Videomerge option lets you superimpose your own image onto footage of
a scene such as a concert or tourist spot.
New features in Photoshop 7 include Scene Cleaner, which allows you simply to
brush away unwanted people or objects in a photo.
Smart Brush allows you to apply effects to a specific area of a photo, to
improve lighting or add textures.
Both products will be on sale in October at £65 ex Vat apiece, or as a £95 ex
Vat bundle.
